Global warming
Global warming is the increase of the average temperature of the air near the surface of the earth. The recent increase of temperature is thought to be caused by Greenhouse gases. The Greenhouse effect is when the sun emits energy from the sun and heats up the surface of the earth. 70 percent of the energy warms the surface and the oceans. The other 30 percent is reflected back into space. But the carbon dioxide and other gases we release into the air traps the energy bouncing back to space. Then the gases release the energy in all directions. Some of the energy is sent back to space but the rest is sent back to the earth's surface. This causes the earth to heat up but it's not bad. Our problem is the gases we release into the air. We release so much carbon dioxide and other gases that a lot of the energy that is going back to space is reflected back to the earth. This is why the polar ice caps are melting.

Really good so far, good dept and detailed writing, keep it up. Just a few grammar mistakes.
Your writing is very deep and thoughtful. I mean, there needs to be something done to prevent global warming. So far, so good!
This is good stuff on global warming. I mean something has to be done and you are making it easy to under stand =]
